Recently it has been observed that many textile and shoe enterprises from Taiwan are shifting their manufacturing base from China and Vietnam to Bangladesh.
Another organisation, M/s Eusebio Textile (Bangladesh) limited, the Taiwan funded company, is going to set up a production facility for polyester and nylon fabrics in the Comilla Export Processing Zone.
Nearly, US $28 million will be invested to install the unit for production of 60 million meters of polyester and nylon fabric annually.
This venture will create job opportunities for nearly 2130 local people and 15 foreign nationals.
Last week, an agreement was inked between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and the M/s. Eusebio Textile (Bangladesh) limited in BEPZA Complex, Dhaka.
Prasanta Bhushan Barua, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Lin Hui, Managing Director of M/s Eusebio Textile (Bangladesh) limited were present during the agreement signing ceremony.
Experts are of the opinion that this venture will help boosting economy of the country.
