Available statistics show that in the month of October, export value of Vietnamese textile and garment products to Hungary reached US $1.43 million, accounting for around 27.59 percent of the total export value. This category has come up as the highest foreign exchange earner from this market.
In total, during the period from January to October, Vietnam earned around $50.08 million from exporting various commodities to Hungary. The export value of textile and garment topped the list with $16.82 million, making up 33.59 percent of the total export value.
Other products that were exported to Hungary included footwear, wood and wooden products, computers and pottery.
Vietnam and Hungary are enjoying a healthy trade relation since 1950 and under Vietnam-Hungary economic cooperation, both the countries support each other in education and training, investment, trade, agriculture, and share their experiences in handling a transitional economy.
