Depending upon the demand and supply situation of the regional markets, propylene prices showed considerable fluctuation in various markets during last week.
Most of the importing regions like the Europe demonstrated a down trend, as inventories in these markets are quite high. Prices in the US region touched the lowest level in past few years, where as Far East showed a considerable surge, on December 3, in comparison to the previous week.
Propylene prices in Far East region:
Propylene, FOB South Korea, at US $479-$481 per ton.
Propylene prices in European region:
Propylene (polymerization level), FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 450-460 per metric ton.
Propylene (polymerization level), CIF Northwest Europe, at Euro 440-450 per metric ton.
Price in the United States:
Propylene (refining level), FAS Houston, at US cent 11.625-11.875 per lb.
