Tianjin to invest 65 bn yuan for Bohai Chemical Industry Park

Tianjin city plans to invest around 65 billion yuan for building a high-level Bohai Chemical Industry Park, to become the first modern chemical production base in the country. The construction work for the project is going on in full swing.

Bohai Chemical Industry Park is located in the industrial zone close to the port on the south side of Tianjin, covering an area of 10 square kilometers. It is projected by Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industry Group Company in accordance with the development plan of building a national petrochemical industry base in Binhai New Area. It is one of the 60 major industrial projects in Tianjin city in the '11th Five-Year Plan' period.

Bohai Chemical Industry Park has planned 41 schemes; the construction of these will be divided into three phases, and it will take 8 years to complete the construction of all these projects. Upon completion, all the projects are expected to achieve sales of 105.8 billion yuan, and profits and taxes of 15.6 billion yuan.

Tianjin Bohai Chemical Corporation is the largest enterprise with the core business of chloro-alkali chemicals in China. The total volume of petroleum and chemical occupies relatively higher shares in the industry of Tianjin and even of China.

The Group produces more than 2000 items in 11 categories, like caustic soda and chlorine products, polymers chemical building materials. It has established long-term cooperative relationship with world-renowned companies.
