A handicrafts fair which has attracted artisans from the country is being held in Bhubaneswar, capital of Orissa. The fair which is expected to run for thirteen days is drawing all arts and crafts lovers to the intricate handicrafts products on display from across India at the fair.
The products have been displayed in thatched huts which provide a rural touch to the fair and also fit in well with the background of the artisans who hail from rural backgrounds. To give company to the Indian artisans, are craftsmen from countries like Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Thailand.
On display are a variety of arts and crafts like handloom textiles, ethnic embroidered garments, palm leaf paintings and wood crafts. It is attracting domestic and foreign tourist alike and also helping the artisans to develop new business with traders and institutional buyers.
