Golden Tulip proudly announces the opening of its new Tulip Inn near the IKEA Concept Center in Delft, the Netherlands. The design of the hotel's exterior and interior is the result of a close cooperation between Inter IKEA Systems Holding B.V., which is the property owner, and Golden Tulip Hospitality Group, the hotel operator. Due to this collaboration the hotel will be exclusively equipped with IKEA furniture in different IKEA style expressions.

The Tulip Inn Delft will embody an innovative, three-star hotel concept called “from staying to living”. The aim of this concept lies in creating home-like comfort for the guests. It will offer accommodation to the thousands of IKEA co-workers who are visiting the IKEA Concept Center as well as to other guests. It will also offer a natural meeting point for both business and leisure visitors while displaying IKEA know-how in interior design.

The hotel will consist of 140 rooms, of which 116 single and double rooms, 17 studios and 7 handicapped-accessible rooms. Further, it will comprise a bar, well equipped meeting and training rooms, a library, a multi-function break-out area, a fitness centre with sauna, a courtyard and an outside terrace.

Golden Tulip Hospitality Group will also launch for the first time its new food and beverage concept “George & Co.” in the new hotel in Delft. It will serve sweet and savoury classics featuring international fusion and healthy choices. Based on providing all-day eating options the restaurant offers a wide range of pre-prepared dishes from breakfast and light lunches to dinner and snacks.

Hans Kennedie, President & C.E.O. of Golden Tulip Hospitality Group comments: “We are constantly trying to develop new synergies between hospitality and other global players in order to extend our horizon. In this sense it has been a great pleasure and a success to cooperate with Inter IKEA Systems for the new Tulip Inn in Delft. We are proud of the result and hope to offer our guests an original and comfortable experience”.

Thomas Bergström, Chairman and CEO of Inter IKEA Systems B.V. adds: “I am happy to see that the good cooperation between Golden Tulip Hospitality Group and Inter IKEA Systems, supported by all the specialists and contractors, has blossomed into this nice hotel. I am pleased to be able to offer our students at the IKEA College and other guests a staying and living opportunity close to our IKEA Concept Center. I wish Golden Tulip good luck and success with operating this new Tulip Inn.”

Inter IKEA Systems B.V. is the owner and worldwide franchisor of the IKEA Concept. Today, there are 285 IKEA stores in 38 countries and territories. The IKEA Catalogue is the most important IKEA marketing channel. Last year 199 million copies were printed in 52 editions.
