The Italian embassy and the Italian Trade Commission in Kuwait announced the Florence Textile Exhibition, to take place in Florence, Italy from 6th to 9th February 2009. The exhibition will introduce innovative trends in home furnishing that will focus on attractive and comfortable designs.

Creative designs from a range of manufacturers will enrich the range and quality of the exhibition and in turn generate new ideas for Kuwaiti companies looking for something new. It will illustrate a new trend called design à vivre, the objective of which is to create beautifully crafted textiles that are both aesthetically pleasing and thereby infuse these everyday use things with vibrancy that makes them functional but also a pleasure to behold.

The exhibition will also highlight the important combination between Eastern and Western cultures. This exhibition is being hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture, Handcraft of Pistoia, and a team of high level partners, who are dedicated to bringing the best of Italian products for home linens, home textiles, lingerie and lots of other products.

Around 260 exhibitors are expected to participate in the event and due to an increase in demand, more exhibiting space has been allocated, which now includes 30,000 sq. mt, out of which 6,000 sq. mt more for home linens and home textiles sectors and 4,000 sq. mt more for lingerie and home wear sectors.
