The conference will feature three educational tracks including Concept 2 Consumer(textile design); Chemical Applications; and Materials (chemical-, polymer- & fiber-based textiles), a poster session, student paper competition, textile trivia game show for students, welcoming reception, and award's luncheon where the association's most prestigious awards honoring achievement in textiles will be presented.

Three educational tracks will feature presentations designed for all facets of the textile industry. Sessions topics for the Concept 2 Consumer track include global compliance and sustainability, color systems & theory, and performance & innovation. This track will explore how the textile industry can minimize its environmental footprint; sustainable products, processing and packaging; how quality control aids and technical expertise can facilitate the delivery of consistent quality merchandise; the impact of a retailer's color specification process on product development, manufacturing lead-time and product quality; color curricula and training; and setting numerical approval color tolerances.

Sessions in the Chemical Applications track include dyeing technology, flame retardant textiles and regulatory issues, and sustainability and environmental issues. Biologically inspired fibrous materials, composites and personal protection are the focus of the sessions for the Materials Track. Highlighting this track will be presentations on the high-performance fiber properties and biocompatibility of spider silk, lunar wheel treads made of polymeric fabrics, innovative manufacturing and industrial applications for 3D woven and 3D braided fabrics composites, textile-based bio-sensor technologies for personal protection and performance attributes to textiles from activated carbon made from coconut shells.

Tabletop exhibits will feature CAD/CAM systems and software; color management software, systems and solutions; auxiliaries, dyes and chemicals; and testing equipment and services for the apparel and textile wet processing industries. A reception will be held in the exhibit area on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and a continental breakfast will be provided on Wednesday.
