Focus on functional fabric can fulfill customer interest - Jong Stit

Jong Stit Co Ltd ranks among the top-three leading synthetic textile and fabric manufacturers in Thailand with specialized experience over 60 years.

Mr Paradorn Akkranupornpong from Marketing Department speaking exclusively to Fibre2fashion.com, regarding impact of recession on major textile fibre and yarn producing companies in Thailand said, “The impact of recession is quite evident on the textile industry. There are lower forecasting orders for the coming season. In addition, the price negotiation is increasing from our big brand buyer due to the decline in oil price. Even the production is not in full capacity since the diminishing in buyer power from customer worldwide.”

Talking about trade contracts in hands, Mr Paradorn Akkranupornpong said, “We do have a contract with big brand buyer. However, the forecasting order in the coming season is still not coming yet. We're trying to open more market to different region to diversify the risk.”

He further went on saying, “In order to increase profitability we are focusing on cost cutting especially into the lower the unnecessary expense in the company. Furthermore, we're trying to be stick on client credit term. In short, we try to have all the bill payment as soon as possible. We also try to avoid high inventory. Finally, we always develop new products for our buyer such as new functional fabric, and environmental concern product etc.”

Since last fortnight price of PSF and POY is stable. Continuing the conversation on this current crucial subject, Mr Akkranupornpong noted, “As the raw material pricing stabilizes, now we are able to control our production cost much better.”

While discussing about future plans regarding new products targeting any specific segments in industry market, Mr Paradorn avers, “Our new products will be concerned with the functional fabrics that fulfill our buyer requirement and market demands. The specific segment of the market would be new clothing brand that concerning sportswear fabric and winter wear fabric.”

Today, despite the fierce competitive in the textile markets, Jong Stit Co Ltd is still poised to serve both local and international markets with a pledge of providing great satisfaction to its customers.
