Polyester filament market did not see any evident increase on February 3, but products of the polyester value chain showed intentions of going higher, being pushed by cost of raw materials.

In Shengze market, ex-factory price of semi-dull FDY from a spinning plant rose 100 Yuan per ton. Currently market prices, quoted by slice spinning manufacturers for semi-dull FDY50D/24F is Yuan 9,600-9,700 per ton and that of FDY63D/24F is Yuan 8800-9000 per ton.

Market prices of DTY75D/36F, DTY100D/36F, DTY150D/48F are 10,500 Yuan per ton, 9600 Yuan per ton and 8600 Yuan per ton, respectively, while that of POY products like 100D/96F and POY150D/288F are 8200 Yuan per ton and 8400 Yuan per ton, respectively.

On February 3, among bright FDY filaments, FDY50D and 75D garnered good demand and among DTY filaments, DTY75D/144F, 150D/288F and DTY75D also commanded excellent volumes, while POY texturized filament also had a sizeable number of buyers.

The raw material prices have slowly but surely started moving in an upward trajectory and the market outlook of polyester filament is likely to increase slightly.
