Another important element is the sewing thread. In garment production, mainly yarns of polyester are used. Sewing threads of 100 % TENCEL are a good alternative since they have a high tenacity in both the wet and dry state making them ideal for the production of jeans.
More ecology and more quality
The admixture of TENCEL is not only more environmentally-friendly. It also offers more comfort since the fibers well-known properties, such as the moisture transport and skin-sensory properties, make themselves felt. In addition, the fiber profile allows for numerous improvements both in the textile itself and in the processing. TENCEL reveals no impurities which is frequently the case with cotton. The regularity common in this fiber, in terms of the fiber count and staple length, makes it possible to produce more regular yarns. Fabrics have a higher quality as a result.
