10/10 textile company on course to completing export targets

Hanoi based 10/10 Textile Joint Stock Company, a manufacturer of various types of tulle, net, curtains and mosquito nets is holding large orders for exports of mosquito nets for 2009, but has also shipped a good amount and volume of orders in the first few weeks of 2009.

Up to 10th Feb 2008, the company had shipped 7.5 million numbers of mosquito nets to overseas markets, which helped bring in US $15 million worth of foreign exchange and in the process also posted a turnover growth of 3.4 times compared to the same period of 2008.

As of date, the company has in hand over 200 large orders in hand from different overseas buyers, which has forced the company to recruit and employ more workers to keep its production lines running at full capacity of 150,000-170,000 number of nets per day, in order to complete orders on time.

The company has set a target of earning $100 million by exporting goods, which is an increase of 10 percent over its achievement in 2008. 90 percent of its mosquito nets are shipped to different African countries with the rest to countries within Asia.
