New Catalloy process resins reduce bumper weight
Also to be highlighted at the conference are LyondellBasell's new Hifax resins based on the company's proprietary Catalloy process, which are used in high-performance bumper applications. Characterized by an outstanding combination of low-thermal expansion, low-shrinkage, impact-resistance, stiffness and flowability, the resins meet the zero-gap demands of automotive manufacturers, and offer significant weight reduction potential compared to most standard PP grades, typically used for bumpers.
