Intl spot prices of Naphtha move northwards

Naphtha prices are maintaining the trend set by other petrochemicals in growing from strength to strength with each passing day and week. The reason for this development is that demand is shoring up and supply is not able to keep pace with demand.

In the international spot market on February 19, naphtha prices for Northwest Europe were quoted at US $386.73 per ton (CIF), while it was $380.72 per ton (CIF) in the Mediterranean.

Comparative FOB prices in the Mediterranean ruled at $369.26 per ton and it stood at $394.08 per ton in the Gulf. Naphtha was quoted at $45.57 per barrel (FOB) in the markets of Singapore on the same day.

March contract prices in Tokyo were quoted at $425.45 per ton (C+F).
