Niche market for toys made from organic materials

A growing global awareness which has its roots in the European countries is drawing more and more people towards products made from organic materials. This includes many products like fabrics, clothing, toys, etc.

The uproar created last year over, due to non permissible chemical and also high lead content in toys manufactured in China, has created an awareness for organic toys not witnessed before and thereby generated a niche market for organic toys.

The fabrics or materials used in these organic toys is made from organic cotton and even the chemicals used in the dyeing or printing of these materials are free from chemical and lead content, which, otherwise could be harmful to children.

A lot of reputed global toy manufacturers have recalled toys in millions in the last few years, more particularly in 2007 and 2008, most of them manufactured in China, either for banned chemical contents or for lead content being over permissible limits.
