Idemitsu declares force majeure of naphtha cracker

Idemitsu Kosan Co, which has a 374,000 tons per year naphtha cracker at Chiba, has shut down its plant, yesterday, for maintenance and repair work. To get details and confirmation, Fibre2fashion spoke to official sources at Idemitsu Kosan.
He said, “Yes, there is a routine maintenance shut down at Japan's Idemitsu Kosan Company which started from 24th March and will last till end of April 2009. Exact date for restarting the plant has not yet been declared”.
