Propylene prices continued to grow in the Far East Region for the fourth consecutive week. Propylene prices for FOB South Korea in Far East region once again rose substantially from last week's levels of US $801-806 per ton to $862-867 per ton, a gain of $61per ton. Last week it had risen by $100 per ton.
However, Propylene prices in European markets plunged sharply after having registering gains in the previous weeks. FD Northwest Europe plummeted from €526-436 per metric ton to €411-421 per metric ton. CIF Northwest too followed suit and fell from €426-436 per ton to €396-406 per metric ton
The US markets also rebounded for the second week in running and rose marginally from US cent 20.380-20.630 per lb last week to US cent 20.500-20.750 per lb, on Wednesday.
