Following the opening of the textile exhibition Connections by Filamenta on May 1st at Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre, one of the exhibitors, Dawna Dey Harrish will lead a one day workshop on Special Effects and Adding Texture.
Personalize your artwork with threads, yarn, netting and fabrics including cheesecloth. Try different adhesives, fusible webs and the wash, tear or brush away products. If desired, embellish with jewelry, charms, buttons and miscellaneous items. The completed project will be suitable for framing. You will need to bring a sewing machine in good working order.
The Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre is managed by the Revelstoke Visual Arts Society as a not-for-profit community facility dedicated to the creation, exhibition and promotion of the visual arts.
The Revelstoke Visual Arts Society exists to exhibit, educate, interpret, preserve and foster the visual artistic and cultural heritage of the city, the region, the province and the nation
