Textiles in Trevira CS Bioactive satisfy in like manner the requirements in terms of preventative fire safety and enhanced hygiene. With this fibre the flame retardant property is supplemented by an added antimicrobial function, in that a silver-based agent is firmly embedded in the fibre polymer. The additive exercises a permanently antimicrobial effect and is not affected either by frequent washing or usage. In its action this effect emerges on the surface, without the agent migrating into the environment.
