Ethylene prices for CFR Northeast Asia descended for the second consecutive week from US $725-727 per metric ton to $706-711 per metric ton yesterday and ethylene prices for CFR Southeast which had moved northwards last Wednesday fell from $715-717 per metric ton to $696-701 per metric ton, yesterday.
Ethylene prices for the Far East region, (FOB South Korea) and (FOB Japan) stayed stable for the second consecutive week at $705 per metric ton, the price at which it closed last Wednesday.
Ethylene prices in the FD Northwest European markets moved marginally from last weeks level of €545-550 per metric ton to €550-555 per metric ton, while ethylene prices for CIF Northwest Europe grew drastically from $640-650 per metric ton to $705 per metric ton.
Prices of ethylene in the US market of Houston crashed for the third consecutive week. On April 23, it had stood at US cent 23.13-23.38 per pound, while yesterday it dipped to US cent 22.13-22.38 per pound.
