ITM 2009 (Istanbul, from 6th to 9th June 2009) represents a reference point for the textile machinery manufacturers that are interested in Turkish market.

Also the Italian manufacturers of textile machinery have given a positive answer to this event. At ITM 2009 about 90 Italian companies will exhibit, testifying the great attention paid by the Italian companies to this market.

In 2008 Italian textile machinery exports toward Turkish market totalled Euro 90 million, which confirmed Turkey as a leading world market for the Italian textile machinery industry. The most requested Italian machines in Turkey are spinning machines (28% of total 2008 exports), knitting ones (23%) and finishing ones (18%).

The 300 Italian companies that in 2008 produced machinery for a value of Euro 2 billion, pay the highest attention to the requests of the textile industry to propose new solutions of innovation, productivity, safety with the utmost satisfaction of their clients.

“It is a pleasure renewing our support to ITM - Federico Pellegata, ACIMIT's director says - We are sure that after this negaive period Turkish textile and clothing industry will return on a growth path. The significative presence of Italian companies at ITM testifies their will to keep a leading role as strategical partner for Turkish textile companies”.

ACIMIT, in collaboration with ICE (the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade), has always had several opportunities to meet the Turkish textile machinery sector, as it has set up over the years an intensive programme for increasing contacts between operators coming from the two Countries.

At ITM 2009, ACIMIT and ICE will organize a Gala Dinner on June 6th where journalists, Turkish textile operators, potential customers will be invited. Furthermore a fashion show of clothes made by Italian textile machinery could be viewed by all those present to the event.

The fashion show is organized in cooperation with “Camera della Moda”, a non profit Association with head office in Milan, fashion capital of the world. It represents over 200 Italian fashion companies operating in haute couture, prêt-à-porter, quality tailoring and sportswears.
