Worldwide ethylene prices turnaround smartly

Ethylene prices for CFR Northeast Asia which had descended for three consecutive weeks, rebounded yesterday, from US $680-690 per metric ton to $690-700 per metric ton and ethylene prices for CFR Southeast also turned northwards from its earlier course to grow from $670-680 per metric ton to $680-690 per metric ton.

Ethylene prices for the Far East region, (FOB South Korea) and (FOB Japan) which had fallen last week from $705 per metric ton to $685 per metric ton, however continued to stay flat at its last weeks level of $685 per metric ton.

Ethylene prices in the FD Northwest European markets which had fallen last week, gained forty Euros in moving from last weeks level of €525-530 per metric ton to €565-570 per metric ton, while ethylene prices for CIF Northwest Europe which had also dipped last week, rose on Wednesday from $650-660 per metric ton from $670-680 per metric ton.

Prices of ethylene in the US market of Houston which has crashed for the previous four consecutive weeks, recovered all the losses yesterday, in jumping smartly from US cent 21.630-21.880 per pound to US cent 24.255-24.505 per pound.
