Propylene prices sky rocket in US markets, fall in Asia

Propylene prices in the Far East region, which had shed gains in the previous four weeks, continued to do yesterday too, with FOB South Korea falling from US $810-812 per ton to $774-776 per ton.
Prices of Propylene (polymerization level), FD Northwest Europe and CIF Northwest which had risen on the previous Wednesday, stayed flat at last weeks level of €520-530 per metric ton and €510-520 per metric ton respectively.
The US markets, which had picked pace in the previous three weeks, kept up the momentum once again and sky rocketed from US cent 27.255-27.505 per lb in the previous week to US cent 34.125-34.375 per lb.
