New power plants would be established in the coming months of June and July to generate more electricity, informed Managing Director of PEPCO in the meeting of Standing Committee on Textile Industry chaired by Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari.
These power plants will definitely improve the power supply in coming two to three months, which would help to overcome the shortfall of electricity, the MD assured the meeting participants.
The committee recommended that the textile industry as well as export-oriented industry should be exempted from load shedding. It also suggested that the export-oriented industry should be freed from gas load curtailment too, to help increase exports.
