Messe Frankfurt will be opening a window on the Russian textile-care market with the premiere of Texcare Forum Russia, International Forum for Modern Textile Care, in Moscow from 30 September to 1 October 2009. The event will include a conference and an exhibition area, where leading Russian and international providers of laundry and textile-cleaning technology will be using a stand to show their products.

Jointly with a prestigious local partner, the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre IEC Moscow, the German trade-fair company will be organising Texcare Forum Russia once a year.

Detlef Braun, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt: “With the Texcare Forum Russia, we are making an anti-cyclical investment in this time of economic difficulty. We are starting with the Forum and plan to expand it into a trade fair. Russia and the CIS are highly promising markets for the German and international textile-care sector and we see good medium to long-term perspectives there, especially in the fields of garment textiles, industrial laundries and consumer services.”

Messe Frankfurt will be drawing up the two-day conference programme jointly with the Russian Association for Dry Cleaning and Laundry Enterprises.

Russian and international exhibitors showing at Texcare Forum Russia will cover the following product groups: machinery, apparatus, equipment and facilities for laundries, ironing, textile cleaning and dyeing; washing and cleaning products, disinfection agents and dyestuffs; equipment, textiles and accessories for rental services; machinery and additives for cleaning carpets, floorings and upholstered furnishings; and systems for environmental protection and recycling equipment.

Texcare Forum Russia is intended for representatives of laundries and dry cleaners, wholesale and retail, hotels and restaurants, hospitals, retirement and care homes, and orphanages.

Along with the German Association for Mechanical Engineering and Plant Construction (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau - VDMA) and the Industrial association for textile services – intex e.V., Germany, supporters of Texcare Forum Russia include the Russian Association of Dry Cleaning and Laundry Enterprises, the Department of the Consumer Market and Services, Government of Moscow, and das Moscow Chamber of Commerce.

The leading trade fair in the global Texcare brand, Texcare International, held in Frankfurt am Main since 1956, is a world market for modern textile care. Every four years it provides an international venue for the textile-care sector. 15,000 visitors from 80 countries came to the last event in June 2008, to see products by its 287 exhibitors. In the intervening years Texcare Forum in Frankfurt am Main has successfully established itself as an international meeting place for the sector's German representatives.

Texcare is also represented abroad. Since as early as 1998 Texcare Asia has been taking place every other year at various different locations in Asia. The next event will be held in Peking from 28 October to 30 October 2009.
