In the past few years, ozone has created a major place for itself in the global garment industry. Used as a powerful bleaching agent, ozone remains a powerful tool for denim industries giving the fabric a unique and appealing look.
Discharge of Ozone purifies the atmosphere by adding freshness and giving clear, pollution free-oxygen rich air. Ozone is formed from the combustion of burning fossil fuel creating carbon monoxide, and lightning creating nitrogen oxide.
These chemicals are combined with unstable compounds in the presence of sunlight, to form ozone. Due to its unstable nature, ozone reduces into oxygen with a very short time. This acts as a powerful oxidizing agent and it is on this principle of oxidation, that garments are treated.
A specially designed Ozone system enables significant amount of savings by minimizing the use of water and energy costs that are used for heating.
Apart from this, one more additional advantage is that the waste water from the laundry has much lower detergent contents which requires very little or no waste water treatment prior to letting it out in to the sewage system.
