Mr. Huang Weiji, Secretary-General of the Textile Promotion Committee in Taiwan said recently in Kaohsiung that, Taiwan's textile exports declined all the way from August last year amid the financial tsunami.
But now the industry has turned for the better since January this year and industrial orders are fully packed into June and it can be said that Taiwan's textile industry has been reborn from ashes of the financial tsunami.
He said that there has been a continuous improvement in order position January onwards and bigger improvements in February and March. March production was on levels seen in last August which is a very good sign of revival.
