Naturally Advanced Technologies Inc., and Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products LP(GP) entered into a Joint Development Agreement to explore applications of technology licensed by NAT from the National Research Council (Canada).

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia-Pacific is one of the world's leading manufacturers and marketers of tissue, packaging, paper, cellulose, building products, and related chemicals. The company employs approximately 50,000 people at more than 300 locations in North America, South America and Europe.

Headquartered in Vancouver, BC, Naturally Advanced Technologies Inc. is committed to unlocking the potential of renewable and environmentally sustainable biomass resources from bast fibers. The company, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Crailar Fiber Technologies Inc., is developing proprietary technologies in collaboration with Canada's National Research Council and the Alberta Research Council.
