Propylene prices in the Far East region, which had risen on the previous Wednesday, continued to climb for the third consecutive week yesterday. FOB South Korea shot up from US $858-859 per ton to $895-897 per ton.
Prices of Propylene (polymerization level), FD Northwest Europe and CIF Northwest too grew by €10 per metric ton from last Wednesday's level of €570-580 per metric ton and €560-570 per metric ton to €580-590 per metric ton and €570-580 per metric ton respectively.
The US markets, which had picked pace in the previous three weeks, lost the momentum and in the process nearly stayed stationery. Propylene was quoted at US cent 36.000-36.500 per lb in the previous week and moved marginally to US cent 36.130-36.380 per lb on June 24.
