The Quanzhou Shengxin Fibre Co. Ltd has made a breakthrough by developing fibre from bamboo-charcoal and which can be blended with different fibres like cotton, wool, hemp, viscose, nylon, PTT, etc.
The fibre is derived by melt spinning technology using masterbatch made from micro-nano charcoal powder and polyester chips as raw materials, to eventually convert it in to fabrics for consumer or industrial use.
Bamboo fibre includes natural bamboo fibre, bamboo pulp fibre and bamboo charcoal fibre which have excellent absorption and moisture transfer, anti-bacterial and negative ion emitting properties.
In addition, during the process of burning charcoal, bamboo vinegar, a high value-added product can be derived. Bamboo vinegar can be used as bathing agent, plant pest control agent and anti-bacterial agent after processing.
