International Achievement Award entries set new record

According to IAA Manager Christine Malmgren, a new record was set this year as over 400 entries were submitted for judging in the 61st annual IFAI International Achievement Awards.

Each year IAA recognizes outstanding and innovative work presenting the latest accomplishments in design and manufacture incorporating specialty fabrics. The 28-category competition ranges from architectural structures to geosynthetics used in green roofs and massive civil engineering projects; to safety and protective clothing for first responders and covers for rocket ships.

It's an excellent opportunity for IFAI members and non-members from around the world to display their work, gain professional recognition and become distinguished on an international level.

The winners of the prestigious 2009 competition will be announced at the IFAI Annual Meeting at IFAI Expo 2009 at the San Diego Convention Center on June 24th. Attendees will be able to view all the winning entries in a special display onsite from Sept. 23-25, as well as online.
