From January to June of 2009, large scale companies totaling to 52,200 in China's textile industry completed an industrial output value of 1.71 trillion Yuan, an increase of 6.44 percent year-on-year.
These large textile companies delivered total yarn production of 10.96 million tons in the period under review, an increase of 9.40 percent over the same period last year. Cloth production registered 25.8 billion meters, up 0.16 percent.
Clothing output fetched 10.64 billion pieces, an increase of 3.70 percent over the same period last year. Chemical fiber output realized 12.88 million tons, up 10.57 percent over the same period last year.
