The University of Management and Technology (UMT) would conduct a study on the state of knitwear garment industry with emphasis on its exports and will provide a research report to the PHMA, under an agreement signed between the two organizations.

This study will help the association to know about the issues of concern regarding the knitwear exports and would suggest the remedial measures to aid the export sector to come out of the crisis, said Mr. Adil Butt, Vice Chairman PHMA.

The PHMA is a registered trade organization that works for the development of the value added knitted garment export industry and tries to identify the factors responsible for the plunge in garment exports.
