Aug '09
The first in the series of service centres has opened in Ashgabat, which will help service, repair and provide spare parts for the imported textile machinery installed in the textile mills of the country.

The service centre has been opened by German companies “Oerlikon Schlafhorst" and "Truetzschler", whose textile machines have been installed in large numbers by the mills.

The service center also represents Swiss company "Uster", which specialises in supply of laboratory testing equipment to determine physical and mechanical properties of cotton and yarn.

This service centre will help the textile mills in the country to access spare parts and accessories at short notice and at company rates and these centers will also provide technical guidance as and when needed.

These service centres will also train textile machinery maintenance staff of the mills. Efforts are also being put to attract other global textile machinery manufacturers like "Savio", "Marzoli", "Promatech SpA" to set up service centres.
