Rising environmental concerns is fueling the pace of research in green technology in renowned educational institutes in India.
Recently a group of researchers in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, found a way to do away with high usage of water while dyeing the fabric.
It has found a way to impart high value finishes to textiles and in the process save scarce resources like water and energy.
By its innovative process, the technology will be able to save about 60-70 litres of water, which is needed to dye one kg of fabric along with electricity.
