The Federal Government is acutely aware of the troubles faced by the wool industry on not being able to access credit insurance facilities.
Trade Minister, Mr Crean said that without credit insurance, it would be difficult to make overseas transactions, as there was no guarantee of payments.
He said the government was discussing the issue with wool exporters and looking at options of short term assistance.
He assured the wool export sector that it was closely monitoring the situation and would work out a solution at the earliest.
