The Teijin Group announced that it will participate in KHIMIA 2009, the largest international exhibition in the fields of chemicals and science in Russia and CIS, which will be held at Expocentre Fairgrounds in Moscow from September 28 to October 2.

Working through its representative office in Moscow since 2006, the Teijin Group is laying the groundwork to develop markets for various businesses in Russia and CIS. Participation in the biennial KHIMIA exhibition for a second straight time will support this effort.

During the exhibition, six Teijin group companies-Teijin Limited, Teijin Aramid B.V., Toho Tenax Europe GmbH, Teijin Kasei Europe B.V., DuPont Teijin Films Luxembourg S.A., and Teijin DuPont Films Japan Limited-will showcase their latest developments and competitive products for a wide range of industries.

The Teijin booth at KHIMIA (Stand 22C35, Hall 2, Pavilion 2) will feature the following displays:
- BIOFRONT by Teijin Limited: an innovative heat-resistant bioplastic with a melting point of 210°C, which is used for a wide range of products such as automobile molded parts, apparel, and other general merchandise
- Twaron, Technora and Teijinconex by Teijin Aramid: high-performance aramid fibers that are favored for reinforce and heat-resistant applications
- Tenax by Toho Tenax Europe: PAN-based carbon fiber that is widely used in industrial products as a material that contributes to weight reduction and energy saving
- Panlite by Teijin Kasei Europe: polycarbonate resin and sheet, with proposed applications that include optics and construction products
- Teonex by DuPont Teijin Films Luxemburg and Teijin DuPont Films Japan: proprietary high performance PEN (polyethylene naphthalate) film that can be used as electrical insulating material. Various PET films for electric and electronic applications and packaging will also be displayed.

The Teijin Group also participated in KHIMIA 2007, which featured 674 companies from 29 nations.

Teijin is a global technology-driven group operating in five main fields: synthetic fibers (polyester fibers, carbon fibers and aramid fibers); films and plastics; pharmaceuticals and home health care; trading and retail; and IT and new products. Teijin Limited, the holding company for the Teijin Group, is listed on the Tokyo and Osaka stock exchanges.
