Second edition of Techtextil India'09 attracts global attention

Indian market for the first time and will be displaying a large variety of nylon and polyester yarns and cord fabrics. Leading manufacturers from the U.K such as Waxman Fibres, will present a unique range of specialty fibres for all end uses. Rieter Perfojet, France, will be showcasing nonwoven lines for spunlace, spunbond and spunjet technologies.

Prominent Indian manufacturers like Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited, SRF Limited (India), are among the many Indian manufacturers joining those from Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Turkey, Spain, China and Austria. French exhibitors Calemard and Decoup who are participating for a second time at Techtextil India, are highly positive about the show. “India seems to be very active in this period of global crisis. We are already involved in some Indian projects and want to develop more contacts with local technical textile producers and converters. Techtextil India is a professionally managed event like its counterpart in Frankfurt, that we would like to be part of”, said Mr. M. Montusclat & Mr.Guillermin, representatives of both companies in a joint statement. “India is an exciting market for technical textiles. The country has a high skill-set in terms of scientific and technical manpower and huge levels of expertise in the textile market.

No fair is complete without a fringe programme. Within the framework of Techtextil India, the Techtextil India Symposium on 10th October 2009, offers a power packed day of eleven seminars featuring leading speakers from India and abroad. It offers vast perspectives of the latest developments, market prospects, technologies, materials and applications in technical textiles.

The objective is to achieve future oriented perspective and practical technical information in a range of presentations and discussions specially formulated for the “high potential” of the Indian market. Focusing on a topic of great concern – Pollution, the second day (11th October) of the fringe programme will feature a half day presentation on Pollution Control Technology and use of technical textiles in filtration technologies. The Australian Pollution Control Board, together with the Australian Technical Textile Non- Woven Association (TTNA) and the Indian Pollution Control Board will shed light on the important topic.

Techtextil India is supported by the Office of the Textile Commissioner of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Delegates from the Ministry of Textilesand many other leading textile associations will join the list of VIP's at the fair. The concept of “Textile Days India" – this year a dynamic combination of Techtextil India and Heimtextil India, will allow the entire textile industry to meet, network and do business.
