Congressman Duncan Hunter (ret.), past chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Armed Services Committee, was presented the “Award of Outstanding Military Merit” by the Textile Industry Coalition on Government Procurement during the Military Textiles Conference in San Diego on September 24.
Prior to being elected to represent the 58th district of California, Congressman Hunter served in Viet Nam with the 173rd Airborne and 75th Rangers units. Over his 28 year career in Congress, he helped the U.S. Textile Industry through numerous legislative actions and was an avid supporter of our men and women who serve as soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines throughout the world.
The Textile Industry Coalition is comprised of: American Manufacturing Trade Action Coalition, National Council of Textile Organizations, National Textile Association and U.S. Industrial Fabrics Institute.
