 The Textile Industry Development Ministry of the country is set to establish two Textile Training Institutes in the Vavuniya and Cheddikulam Welfare Villages.
The participants who will pursue training courses in these institutes will be provided Rs. 2,000 and one machine each as well as trained lecturers and free training material, during the training period, said the Ministry.
Providing specialized training on the textile industry to the youth class in IDP centres is absolutely essential, said a Minister. The government has decided to take this step in order to make the boys and girls of the villages skilled and self-employed.
