Zem Jute Mills re-begins operations

The Panchgarh, district based, Zem Jute Mills which had suspended operations, following a labour unrest has resumed production from Saturday.

A meeting was held with the labour representatives by the mill authorities at which were also present officials from the district administration.

The mill had earlier, shut down on Tuesday, following a strike and violence resorted to by the workers of the jute mill.

The jute mill was set up in 2003 and it has two units and about 196 looms.
