Abhishek Industries wins 'Best Supplier Quality Award from IKEA'

Leading towel manufacturer Abhishek Industries Limited(AIL) has won the prestigious IKEA 'Best Supplier TASA (Trade Area South Asia) Quality Award for year 2008-09. The award was conferred at the high profile ceremony of IKEA Annual Supplier's Day held in New Delhi on October 30, 2009.

Speaking about the achievement, Mr. Rajinder Gupta, Managing Director, Abhishek Industries Limited said, "It is a great honour for us. Customer satisfaction is an inherent value of our organisation and we are happy to have lived up to it. We shall continue to strive to foster an economically buoyant relationship with our valued customers".

Ikea and AIL share a common agenda on ethical business practices, sustainability & contributing to the development of people, society & environment at large. Apart from Terry business, Ikea and AIL have strengthened their partnership through another important initiative known as - 'Better Cotton Initiative'. It is an initiative to promote measurable improvements in cotton cultivation to make it more economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable.

Ikea is one of the biggest retailers in Europe with a global presence and is amongst the top 3 most trusted global brands. AIL is one of Ikea's major suppliers for the Towels and Toweling products.

In the recent past AIL has been awarded with many coveted awards by retail big wigs like Walmart, JC Penney etc. AIL is part of the Rs 2500 crore conglomerate Trident Group having interests in Home Textiles, Yarn, Paper, Chemicals, IT & Energy.
