Innovation: Valuable key to boost textile growth

Today's consumers pick and choose from a wide array of inexpensive products. They are spending less on apparel, instead choosing to spend their disposable income on healthcare, electronics, education and travel and leisure. In order to attract today's elusive consumer, it is more important than ever to innovate!

More focus should be placed on adding value to a product. Revitalizing sales, achieving a premium price and differentiating the product from the plethora of others in the market are necessary to add value to a product.

Every textile business requires some form of investment and a sufficient number of customers to whom its output can be sold at profit on a consistent basis. Process by which an idea or invention is translated into a goods or service for which people will pay, can be called an "innovation".
