China's domestic benzene market looked steady on Wednesday and transactions were limited. Benzene in Asian markets fell by US $9 to close at $947-951 per ton (FOB Korea).
The domestic benzene market too was steady. Market price in East China stood at 7,100-7,100 Yuan per ton, in South China it stayed constant at 6,950-7,000 Yuan per ton, while in North China markets they closed at 6,950-7,000 Yuan per ton.
The domestic benzene market is displaying a strong wait-and-see sentiment, due to price decline in international oil and overseas offers. Market participants expect consolidation of benzene prices in the short-term.
