It said, “Compared to the previous Christchurch sale, prices of different varieties of mid-micron fleece rose by 1-9 percent and quantities were, considering that the season for that category is nearing its end.
Prices for fine crossbred wools also moved by up to 9 percent, a result of renewed Chinese interest and also due to limited supply. However, coarse carpet wool prices fell by 3 percent, as seasonal supply peaked.
