Fibre2fashion opens business assistance center in Coimbatore

To strengthen the regional network within India and to impart an exclusive focus on to the southern textile industry in to the forefront, while concentrating on the Apparel / Textile hubs, Fibre2fashion opens a business assistance center in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Fibre2Fashion has become a leading name in the Textile-Apparel-Fashion industries - is one of the world's largest online business and knowledge portal for the apparel and textile and retail industry opens up it first office outside base in Ahmedabad. The southern office is located in the textile city of Coimbatore to tap the entire southern markets of textile and apparel business. Nine years since it started, the portal has got large corporate to small enterprises utilizing its conjoined business and knowledge services.

India is a burgeoning textile hub in the world. The strength of Indian textiles lies largely on many factors. The production capacity for textile is colossal, raw material is available in abundance, and India has a huge work force and also the manufactured products have a great export potential and are exported to major countries in the world. Tamil Nadu is situated in the southern part of India.

Major cities such as, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Erode and Salem are well known for their contribution to the Indian textile industry. Coimbatore is situated amidst hills of Nilgirirs and is the second largest city in the state of Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore is reckoned as the Manchester of Southern India which has more than 600 mills in operation. These mills manufacture high quality cotton and blended yarns.

Mr. Venkat Subramanian, Executive Director, Fibre2fashion, said “Fibre2Fashion has undertaken this initiative in order to serve the burgeoning textile market in the Southern India in a better way. Fibre2Fashion will be broadening its wings with this venture. He further elaborated that “Fibre2Fashion is also planning to come up with regional offices in metros, such as Mumbai and New Delhi.”

Fibre2Fashion's regional presence in other cities will enhance the potential to spread its wings and cater the regional markets and help them gain great business. These regional offices will provide a gamut of opportunities to the local buyers and sellers and to the major business houses.

This all new endeavor of Fibre2Fashion will prove to be fruitful for the southern textile industry also to explore new markets and help them widen business opportunites. As the age old proverb goes “All roads lead to Rome”, it won't be wrong to say for textiles “All roads lead to Coimbatore”.
