Technical school for textile sector to be installed in Ipojuca

The Petrochemical Company of Pernambuco (PetroquímicaSuape), the city of Ipojuca and the National Service of Industrial Education in Pernambuco (Senai / PE) signed a letter of intent for construction of a technical school for the textile sector, which will be installed in Ipojuca.

This is the first excellence center to be installed in the country focusing on training of professionals in synthetic fibers such as polyester. The new unit of professional education is intended to prepare the labor force in the region of Suape and other municipalities of Pernambuco to work in industrial plants of the Company and other segments in addition to making the qualification of personnel a strong incentive for the installation of other enterprises in the textile chain.

In the partnership, PetroquímicaSuape is the responsible for constructing the building and acquisition of equipment, the City of Ipojuca give the ground, perform the architectural design and participate in administrative and operating activities, along with SENAI, which will take the pedagogical management of the school.

In addition to training focused on the polyester industry, the space may include other courses with the same standard of excellence to meet the demands of other industries. The school will be located in an area of approximately 10 thousand square meters at the intersection of Highways PE-42 and PE-60.

It is expected that the school is running in the second half of 2010, when it occurs early operation of the Company's plants.

The initiative is part of the practices of social responsibility PetroquímicaSuape, who has made education and creation of jobs as the main axes of their actions and meets a demand in the city, which is contributing to the viability of industrial development, through partnerships and tax incentives. In addition, the school will count on teaching experience of Senai/PE, reference in the segment.
