Agion, the worldwide leader in naturally occurring silver-based technologies, has earned independent bluesign standard certification for its suite of solutions for textiles including its new Agion Active dual action odor-elimination finish. bluesign awarded certification after rigorous evaluation proved that Agion's dual action finish for textiles delivered the utmost in consumer safety while adhering to the strict protocol for environmentally friendly manufacturing.

The independent bluesign standard is one of the most recognizable third-party eco-labels in the world. The textile standard is based on the manufacturing process. All ingredients of a product applying for the certification are tested including raw materials, chemical components, and water and energy input. These components are analyzed with a proprietary Input Management Process. Every component is assessed and rated based on its ecotoxicological impact in an effort to eradicate the use of potentially harmful substances in the textile manufacturing industry.

"We are honored by bluesign technologies' independent stamp of approval for our state-of-the-art textile technologies," said Paul Ford, CEO for Agion. "bluesign certification solidifies Agion Active as the most advanced, environmentally responsible textile treatment available today."

Agion Active is an advanced dual action odor elimination finish that operates at the surface of textiles and fabric and provides built-in odor protection by naturally and continuously resisting the growth of microbes and eliminating the presence of ambient odors from the fabric for the life of the product.

The bluesign standard was developed in response to the increasing demand for textile products that are environmentally friendly, pose no health hazards, and conserve resources to the greatest possible extent. Certification according to the bluesign standard certification is the most efficient way to guarantee compliance with the strict ecological requirements, without compromising functionality, quality or design.
