A meeting of Africa Cotton Producers, ACA, is scheduled to take place from today till March 13 in Yaounde. This meeting will be organized within the frame work of the 8th cotton days.
The meeting which is being held in Cameroon has been titled "African cotton: faced with its challenges", will witness participation of around 83 delegates drawn from 18 African countries.
Amongst the key issues which will be deliberated at the meeting include the indicators of production, the present and perspective situation, cultivation and diversity, biotechnologies and injustice in the international market.
Cameroon is the third largest producer of cotton in Francophone Africa and generates employment for about two million people in the country.
