Main objectives of TEXMED to boost trade relations

The Euro-Mediterranean Exhibition, Texmed Tunisia 2010, will be held from 16 to 18 June 2010 in the fairgrounds of Kram (Parc des Expositions du Kram) in Tunis.

Organised by the Tunisian Export Promotion Center (CEPEX), the National Textile Federation (FENATEX) and the Textile Technical Center (CETTEX), TEXMED asserts itself today as a major Euromed business and partnership meeting platform among professionals of the textile, clothing and accessories and aspires to pursue the qualitative and quantitative achievements that it targeted with more than 250 exhibitors and nearly 3000 professional visitors.

Increasingly, TEXMED is becoming the professional reference event for the Euromed area and a response to the proximity sourcing with the European countries. Indeed, Near Shoring proposes an alternative for the offshore production. A relocated tool of production, but of proximity, for a better competitiveness and productivity gains.

The new concept of TEXMED exhibition adopted since 2009 edition based on the dispatching of the exhibition space in 7 villages, allows to present a rich and diversified offer:

- Jeans & sportswear Village
- Ready to wear Village
- Knitwear Village
- Underwear and swimwear Village
- Professional clothing Village
- Fabrics and accessories Village
- Services and fashion accessories Village

During the three exhibition days, several events will be organised: B to B meetings, Morning workshops, Daily Fashion shows presenting the collections of the main Tunisian companies.

The "TEXMED Awards" will be this year an occasion to reward the best exhibitors reflecting the exemplary values for their dynamism, their international performance and their active contribution to the success of the event.

The general commissioner of the exhibition will ensure the implementation of a complete logistic facilities for the professional visitors of the exhibition (preferential rates on the air transport, the accommodation in 4 and 5 stars hotels on the seaside and free shuttles service airport - hotels - site of exhibition) to guarantee the best conditions of stay.
